We are a boutique publishing imprint. This means we maintain a small, intentional list of titles. Fewer books, deeper relationships, more lasting work.

Submission Logistics

Do I Need a Literary Agent to Submit?

No. Open Spiral accepts direct submissions.

How Much Time Should I Allow for a Response?

We will let you know whether Open Spiral is a potential home for your book within four weeks.

Do you accept simultaneous submissions?

Yes. We know the publishing process takes time. We only ask that you notify us immediately if your manuscript is accepted elsewhere.

Do you accept previously self-published books?

Yes, provided the new manuscript has been substantially revised and the original edition is more than 24 months old.

If you need support with a heavy revision, we offer developmental coaching and editing through The Soul-Driven Author.

Are there reading fees?

No. Submissions to Open Spiral are always free.

For in-depth, editorial feedback, we offer paid manuscript reviews through The Soul-Driven Author.
